Le Gîte du Hu-Art has its customers at heart, and the whole team was mobilized to prepare the places so that they are ready and safe for all the customers who will come to stay in our little haven of peace. Be rest assured that we take the situation very seriously and that the safety of our employees and our customers remains a priority for us in these difficult times.
Our facilities, each with its private entrance and its private bathroom, have the adequate criteria for the social distancing required in these times of pandemic.
Complete disinfection of the rooms will be made after each departure. Bottles of hand sanitizers are installed at each entrance door and at multiple locations on the site so that you can disinfect your hands whenever you need.
Nautical activies (canoe, single and double kayacs) are offered for free this summer. Come and enjoy distanciation at it's best
With all the disinfection work to do after each departure, we therefore require from our customers a minimum stay of 2 consecutive nights.
We also offer discount for all direct bookings without going through rental agencies:
Long stay for one room: 5 nights 10%, 6 nights 15%, 7 nights 20%.
Multiple bedrooms: $ 230 / day for 2 bedrooms, $ 340 / day for 3 bedrooms, $ 450 / day for 4 bedrooms, $ 550 / day for 5 bedrooms (10% discount for 5 nights or more)
Breakfasts are not currently offered but you have additional amenities in the room to be able to prepare it yourself (toaster, coffee maker, teapot, mini-fridge, microwave) but you will need to bring your dishes and your personal utensils if possible. For reservations made before June 11, 2020, a discount of $ 10 / pers 16 and over and $ 5 / child 6 to 15 will be offered to compensate for the breakfast.
Each bedroom will have access to its own table both inside and outside.
The common areas (kitchen, living room, laundry room and additional bathroom) will be available only if you book a minimum of 3 bedrooms. Otherwise they will not be accessible during this exceptional restriction period.
For stays of 3 nights or more, the kitchenette (if available) can be allocated to you for an additional $ 25 for the entire duration of the stay, so as to cover the costs of cleaning and disinfection after your departure.
In short, we will make every effort to ensure you a restful and safe stay in these difficult times.

Where are we?
You want to go partying in town? It's easy, you're only a 15 minutes drive away from Québec city downtown.
If you prefer taking the bus, the municipal bus route takes you and brings you back directly in front of
the property. We are centrally located to many places of tourist activities, both winter and summer activities.

To make you feel like home, we have installed several amenities that will be very useful. Each room has its own entrance,
so you can return to your room any time of day or night without disturbing anyone. In your room you have your own TV
and DVD player so you can look at what you want, when you want.
A table and chairs, a mini-fridge, a microwave, dishes and utensils are available in each room ... The restaurant
is fine, but a little picnic by the lake or on a small desert island could be much cheaper and much more romantic!
For amore sophisticated meals, a shared kitchenette with stove, small oven, refrigerator and kitchen sink is also available.
In rooms Zen, Galarneau and Brunante you have access to your private bathroom with a very relaxing decor, where you can be
massaged by the jets of the whirlpool bath in a colorful atmosphere of your choice using the chromo-therapy option. A very relaxing experience!
Is there a better way to begin your day: good coffee, tea, herbal tea or hot chocolate watching the sunrise on the lake? You have
it all at your disposal in your room. Our system of geothermal heating and cooling as well as our comfortable robes will help to

"BRUNANTE" room
This barn wood and red country-style room has a super romantic cachet, especially with its
private balcony with partial view on the lake.
You will fall completely under the spell of its very large bathroom with slate and barn wood all the way to the ceiling. With its therapeutic bath equipped with optional color therapy,
you have all the necessary elements for a relaxing experience!
With a 16'x12' living area, this room has a queen size bed and a sofa bed.
So it can accommodate up to 4 people comfortably.

"ZEN" room
This room has earth tones and is located on the ground floor, so is easily accessible to handicapped or disabled. Two large casement
windows let in plenty of light. The bathroom in shades of ocher has the side of the bathtub and its walls covered with stones with a
carved Zen pattern that give a very relaxing atmosphere.
This romantic and spacious (16 'X 13' living area) is the room that can accommodate the most people. The Zen room can accommodate
up to 6 people (2 adults and 4 children). Two in the queen size bed and two people in each of the two double sofa beds.
With private entry, closet and bathroom this room will give you great comfort. Let yourself be massaged by the jets of the whirlpool
bath in the colorful atmosphere of your choice, using the option color therapy, which is equipped so you have what it takes to live a
very relaxing experience!

"GALARNEAU" room
This country-style bedroom with sunny colors is the largest room of our house (20,X 15 ').
With 2 queen beds and a sofa-bed this romantic room can accommodate up to 5 people.
Directly accessible from the bedroom you have access to your private bathroom the same color as the room.
The slate covering the walls and the façade of the bath fits very well with the country style of the room.
This bathroom is also equipped with a whirlpool bath equipped with the optional chromo therapy (light color in the water).

"HUARD" room
This country-style room with automn colors has a great bay window letting in natural light of the day.
Directly accessible from the room, you have access to your private bathroom. The slate covering the walls and the facade of the bath fits very well with the rustic style of the room.
You will surely not miss place for luggage and clothes because of the large walk-in at the end of the chamber.
With a 15 'X 11' living area, this room has a queen bed and a double sofa bed that can accommodate up to 4 persons (2 adults and 2 children)

"DREAM" room
This charming and coquettish blue bourgeois country-style room has a patio door that gives you a direct view of the beautiful Lake St Charles.
From the corridor leading to the room, you have access to a very large and luxurious shared bathroom with a large tiled shower.
With an area of 12 X 13.5, this room has a queen bed and a single sofa bed that can accommodate up to 3 persons (2 adults and 1 child)

You are running out of clean clothes? No problem, you have access to our laundry room with front-loading equipment.
A shared kitchenette with stove, small oven, refrigerator and kitchen sink is also available. You also have access to
a series of games to fill evenings and bad weather.
We've thought of everything ... or almost! If you are missing anything, let us know and we will do our best to get it.
Rates and packages
A safe choice without compromise.
Prices are in Canadian dollars and taxes are not included. Our prices vary depending on time of year and season: the regular
season begins Oct. 16 and ends April 30 excluding the period of the holiday season. The high season begins May 1 and extends
to October 15 inclusive and also includes the period of holidays from December 20 to January 7. From June 23 to September 4,
a minimum of two nights must be booked on weekends unless there is a space free in the booking calendar. Feel free to contact
us to check if that is your requirement.
We accept payment in cash and through Visa and Master Card credit cards. All rates are subject to change without notice.

Policies
Arrival and departure : You can arrive at 4 pm and you must vacate no later than 11:00.
If you wish to arrive earlier, please check with us first: 418.849.4580 / 418.806.2534.
Cancellation (Low season): No charge for cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled date of arrival. For cancellations made within 7 days of the arrival time, an amount equal to 100% of the nights that we will not be able to rebook will be charged. In case of absence without notice (no-show) the total amount of the reservation will be charged. For cancellation during the stay, the day set aside will be charged at 100% and subsequent days at 50%.
Cancellation (High season): No charge for cancellations made more than 30 days before the scheduled date of arrival. For cancellations made between 15 and 30 days before the date of arrival, an amount equal to 30% of the total stay cost will be charged. Between 7 and 15 days before the date of arrival an amount equal to 50% of total stay cost will charged and less than 7 days before arrival date, 100% of the total cost will be charged.
The above mentioned policy will be applied only on nights not rebooked. However a $ 50 service fee will be charged if we can rebook 1 or more nights.
If we can rebook all canceled nights, we will charge only a service fee of $ 50.
Prohibited :Our cottage is fully non-smoking and it is forbidden to bring your pets.

Thirty minutes by car from Québec City, and you're in Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier. A large mountainous plateau
dominates the park's landscape. It's home to some of Québec's loveliest glacial valleys, including a spectacular one that
the Jacques-Cartier wends its way through. This river, calm in some places and turbulent in others, has cut a trough over
550 metres deep into the plateau. Up on the highlands is a boreal forest of yellow birch, sugar maples, and black spruce. Here, nature is both inspiring and serene.

This charming site offers many activities. Borrow the trails that take you to the lookouts where the view of the falls is impressive.
From the suspension bridge above the falls, you can see the fall, the St. Lawrence River and the Island of Orleans. You are not fit

The oldest hot-air balloon festival of Québec, one of the biggest events of the region. The festival welcomes pilots from various
countries in order to stimulate the economy and tourism in the region.
The mission of the Québec City International Festival of Military Bands is to promote awareness and appreciation of
Canada's military Bands and of its traditions, history, and various forms in sites featuring Old Québec's fortifications
and historic places.
Inspired by the Woodstock Festival, it was created by Jacques Hamel in 1995. This festival is known for its huge camping site,
where spend a few nights in a friendly, festive and liberal atmosphere.
Expo Québec is an annual event, taking place in Québec during 12 days in late August. It has become, over time, the mark of the end of
summer. It is an agricultural fair, a trade show and a temporary amusement park. The event includes a variety of arts and cultural
programming. It has nearly 400,000 visitors each year. Expo Québec stands on the grounds ExpoCité, in the district Lairet. This
land was known before 1997 as the Park of the exhibition.
The Québec Winter Carnival is the largest winter carnival in the world. It is held every year in Québec city. Many sites and
activities are freely available with the effigy of Bonhomme (sold every where in town) for a nominal fee. Our three daughters
(Marie-Fauve, Jade and Anna-Rose) represent the region in the provincial section of the International Snow Sculpture.
Red Bull Crashed Ice is a winter extreme sporting event, which involves downhill skating on a track with steep
turns and high vertical drops. This sport is called ice cross downhill. Competitors must demonstrate skill,
agility, courage and composure in order to participate in this event.
The Québec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament takes place during a period of 11 days with crowds totaling around 200 000 fans,
every year. This extraordinary event, very popular, was founded in 1960 and has never ceased to grow in importance.
In January 2004, Dominic Hardy, Daniel Blouin and a few friends met up on Lac-Beauport for a friendly hockey match, with no goalie.
With a Siberian cold of -40ƒC, twelve teams of four players threw themselves on the ice, specially made for the event. As if they
were young kids, they played until there was only one winning team left. Without even knowing it, they had played the first edition
of the Pond Hockey Lac-Beauport and created a new tournament of its kind in the province of Québec.

A classification certificate is required to operate a tourist accommodation establishment. The classification
certificate takes the form of a sign that must be posted outside the establishment indicating the name of the
accommodation establishment, its class (hotel, bed and breakfast establishment, tourist home, etc.)
The classification of tourist accommodation is made by the Corporation of the tourism industry in Québec (CITQ).
It follows a point system that refers to various aspects of facilities (cleanliness, services, quality of facilities, etc..),
Taking into account the specificities of each category. The classification levels are from 0 to 5, reflecting the index of
comfort and service to the institution. A bed andbreakfast establishments offer, for an all-inclusive price, accommodation
in rooms in a private residence where the operator resides and rents a maximum of 5 rooms,
including breakfast served on the premises.
